1-7041 1969 Lawn & Garden Tractor Charger 10 Automatic Tecumseh HH100-115095B 10
Hey Yahoo guys!!! I am a new home owner with a property of really nice lawn. I'm in the market for a riding mower, and ran across an older gentleman selling his 1969 wheel horse charger 10. He had a newer model sitting next to this one, which he is currently using. He swore by this thing and expressed a little reluctancy to get rid of it. His story is that this thing sat for about 20years in his garage after he rebuilt the motor. Honestly, it started right up after he filled the gas tank and it sounds strong, but I have never heard about this brand. I did some research and all I know is that they were bought over by TORO in the 80's and apparently they were good tactors in their hayday.
What im looking for, are opinions on this tractor compared to today's machines [Craftmans, Toro, John Deere etc,] He is willing to sell for nothing less that 0. Am I gonna be making a good investment or should I just head over to the HD or Lowes and pick something up there.

it is a nice machine however it is 40 years old. trying to find repair parts will be very difficult. i would just buy a new one with a warranty.
